Hi All,
Firstly apologies as Im very new to the world of solar!.
I have a sunnyboy 2000hf inverter which I can connect to via BT using sunny
explorer on my pc.

Today I have registered at pvoutput.org and downloaded the pvbeancounter
software. I have followed all the instructions and cant get the system to
upload my pvoutput to pvoutput.org.

Looking in the pvservice file there is an error that for the life of me I cant
figure out (extract below) and was wondering if anyone can point me in the
right direction?. Im using the system on a fresh win7 32bit machine and also
using ms access (jet2007) as the db

pvservice and settings files attached.

sorry for the long post hope someone can assist

many thanks
Chriso

Thank you Dennis forb your prompt reply.

Tomorrow i will start fresh and reinstall PVBC along with Sunny Explorer. I
will also use the SQLite option you suggested.

Just to double check once I have PVBC installed and configured I also need to
run sunny explorer as well and does it matter if I do this before or after I
press "start service" in your software?.. also do I need to make any config
changes to Sunny Explorer?... Im having trouble getting my head around how your
software obtains the data from sunny explorer. Once I press start service is
their anything else i need to be doing?...

Thank you again Ill let you know tomorrow how I go :)

Thanks
Chris

You don't need to run Sunny Explorer after starting the service. It just needs
to be installed to the normal location. On your system I expect this to be:

C:\Program Files\SMA\Sunny Explorer\SunnyExplorer.exe

You do need to run Sunny Explorer to create the initial SunnyExplorer.sx2 file.
Read the Sunny Explorer instructions and the PVBC instructions. You need to use
Sunny Explorerer to create the SunnyExplorer.sx2 file so that it knows how to
communicate with the inverter.

I will be out of town on 1/9 and 2/9. I will be available again on 3/9.
Remember creating the SunnyExplorer.sx2 file using Sunny Explorer is the action
that most frequently causes setup issues. The name of the file
"SunnyExplorer".sx2 is derrived from the "Plant Name" you enter in Sunny
Explorer. So set the Plant Name to SunnyExplorer

If double clicking the SunnyExplorer.sx2 file opens Sunny Explorer at the
password / login screen and "0000" is the user password, the file is probably
setup correctly.

Good Luck
