Please check "Trace" on the Log Files tab. Save Settings and run the service
for 30 minutes.
Upload the resultant log to this issue. This will show more detail of the
SunnyExplorer activity.

Please install 1.5.0.9
Check Trace on the Log Files tab and try again.
Upload the PVService.log file after 30 minutes of operation. Ensure you do this
while the inverter is available for access.

You have encountered the problem reported in Issue 66.
Do you have SQLite .Net installed?
If you do can you provide details of the version you have installed?
I have been unable to resolve Issue 66 to date. I suggest you reinstall 1.5.0.5
(available unded Deprecated downloads).
I am looking for a solution to Issue 66 but I have had no success to date.
When 1.5.0.5 is installed, please Check Trace on the Log Files tab and save
settings.
Upload the PVService.log file after 30 minutes of operation. Ensure you do this
while the inverter is available for access. I will try to diagnose the problem
using the old version.

Thanks
I don't have SQLite installed as I didn't realise I had to but will now install
the latest version. But my data till now has been from me doing a forced
upload, but this has stopped working for me now too.
I will go back to 1.5.0.5 and will install the latest SQLite.net
Thanks for all the support

Please do not install SQLite .Net
It is part of PVBC and should not require installation.
I have just loaded an attempt to fix Issue 66 here:
http://code.google.com/p/pvbeancounter/downloads/list?can=4&q=&colspec=Filename+
Summary+Uploaded+ReleaseDate+Size+DownloadCount
Please try v1.5.0.11
It may fix the problem. I cannot verify myself.

Dennis
I am not sure if you have me confused with someone else
I will not install SQLite but I don't have the problem in 66 I have the problem
above where data is not being automatically uploaded when I have it running
during the day. I seem to be able to get it to work by forcing SE to export
data and then manually Force upload but otherwise it is not grabbing data Live
every 5 mins and uploading daily
I will run version 11 tomorrow and see what happens

I know it looks confusing.
The line below:
14/07/2011 12:22:45 PM :T6 ExecutionManager :ExecutionStateManager: exception:
GenDatabase - constructor - cannot find provider: System.Data.SQLite :
Exception has been thrown by the target of an
invocation.GenericConnector.GenException
was in the PVService.log file you uploaded. It was the reason 1.5.0.6 stopped
uploading anything.
1.5.0.11 may resolve the SQLite issue allowing you to use the latest PVBC
version.
1.5.0.6 to 1.5.0.10 produced this problem for some users.

Using 1.5.0.5 and getting a small descrepancy between Live and Daily totals for
my last 2 days - Live data is correct while the Daily is out by about 0.2KW.
Normally I delete the daily data and then upload it but that is not working
today

I suspect your computer has Bluetooth drivers that do not allow access by
accounts such as Local Service (used by PVBC).
This means that when the PVBC service runs Sunny Explorer, the Bluetooth
drivers refuse access, or have permissions set somewhere that prevent access.
You should see the failures in the log if you check "Trace" of the Log Files
tab and save settings.
I have seen comments by some users indicating that they removed the "Toshiba"
bluetooth drivers and allowed generic drivers to be installed. I have no direct
experience of this.
Other found the following helpful:
To change the service execution account:
1) Open "Control Panel" - "Administrative Tools" - "Services"
2) Scroll down to "PV Bean Counter - Yield Data Capture"
3) Open it (double click)
4) Select the "Log On" tab
5) "Local Service" will be checked - Check "Local System account"
6) Click OK
7) Stop and Restart the PVPC service
If this solves the problem, you will need to do this whenever you reinstall
PVBC.
Others have found that they needed to use different Bluetooth hardware. The USB
adapters are relatively inexpensive. Broadcom and microsoft drivers seem to
work well. I did use Toshiba Bluetooth for a while without trouble but others
seem to have encountered issues such as you describe.

Hi Dennis
Thanks for the advice - I am using a Dell Laptop with Dell drivers - will give
it a go over the next few days and see how I go. I always check Trace and will
keep looking at the trace.
Thanks alot for the support, the worst case scenario is that I upload at the
end of the day (which is no big deal really)
I am planning on going OS for longer than 14 days soon - is 14 days the limit
to upload data retrospectively?

Try configuring your own User Id and Password as the account used by PVService.
Similar to Comment 17 above.

Yes,
It may allow Sunny Explorer to access the Bluetooth when run by the PVBC
service.

I formatted my Laptop last night and started from scratch
When I installed 1.5.0.12 (32 bit version - I am running x64 Windows Pro) I
hjit the start button, and nothing happens. If I delete the PV Service file,
it all works - any suggestions?

I suspect the problem relates to the lodation of the Default Directory. The
PVBC service will normally have very limited permissions inside a user's
personal directories. That is why I recommend C:\PVRecords.
You must ensure that the PVService user (Local Service after a standard
install) has full permissions to create and destroy files and directories
inside the Default Directory.
I suggest you go back to C:\PVService or some other location where Local
Service has appropriate file and directory access permissions.
I do not understand:
"If I delete the PV Service file, it all works"
If it worked why did you change it?

Hi Dennis
Absolutely - you are right - using C:\PVRecords works fine (I had it on the
desktop just for easy convenience)
If I kept deleting the PVRecords file it would start running for the first time
(but not actually upload)
I tried changing the Bluetooth settings to add my account and I could add my
username but the Password section, every time I would add it more "dots" would
be added than my password. Not sure if this is a safety setting to blank the
correct number of letters in password but didn't seem to work.
At this stage it is very easy to upload once a day at the end of the day
Once again, many thanks
