I had this error on my system yesterday. It was caused when I set the system
date into the past and I forgot to reset it before starting PVBC. PVBC stores a
date in the database that represents the date from which downloads need to
occur to bring PVBC up to date. If this date is later than the curresnt
computer date, a negative time offset is calculated producing this error.

Your system datre seems to be correct but PVBC is trying to start downloads
from 1/9/2011:

21/08/2011 12:07:00 PM :T7 SunnyExplorerInverterManager :FindCompleteDays:
limit day: 1/09/2011
12:00:00 AM 21/08/2011 12:07:00 PM :T7 SunnyExplorerInverterManager
:FindCompleteDays: SQLite adjusted limit day: 31/08/2011
12:00:00 AM 21/08/2011 12:07:00 PM :T7 SunnyExplorerInverterManager :Sunny
Explorer: ExtractYield - status: before RunExtracts - exception: RunExtracts:
FindIncompleteDays: error : Non-negative number required. Parameter name:
capacity

I do not know how you got a future date recorded in the database, however I
suggest:

On the Inverter Managers tab,

click on Sunny Explorer
Ensure First Full Day is set to a date in the past and after inverter
installation
Check "Reset First Full Day"
Save Settings
Restart The PVBC Service

I expect that this will use an alternate calculation that causes the date in
the database to be reset to a value in the past.

Thanks Dennis, I have reset the first full day.
That error does not appear in the log any more, and the log actually looks good.
Still no results being uploaded though. ( i have attached the latest log file. )

Not sure what to do now?

Now seems to be working ??
I set permissions and firewall settings etc

Not really sure what was the "silver bullet" , but so far, so good :)

Hi. I am experiencing the same problem as that listed above in that no data is
being uploaded and getting the same error "System.Xml.XmlException in
SMA.SunnyExplorer.Document.Open(string path)
Root element is missing"
I am trying to connect to the inverter directly via sunny explorer but can't do
that either. Sunny Explorer is coming up with an error saying "Root element is
missing". Any ideas what may have gone wrondg?
