I experience the same... I tried disabling the login banner in SSHdroid, but
that diden't fix it. I hope somebody can come up with a solution cause ssh and
sshfs would be the most handy way of doing android dev. Also on jellybean
4.1.1. Nexus 7.

I cannot confirm it yet ,but there seams to be a problem in key exchange phase.
I'm waiting for new release of ssh.net library which includes logging so I can
precisely tell whats wrong. I'll try to build debug version for tomorrow so I
can get more info.

i am having issue with sshfs from ubuntu box. I have set up dropbear on my ics
sensation . I can access the android file system as root from my ubuntu box
over internet as well as lan. I can use scp to copy files also. But while
mounting the android file system to my ubuntu box , it asks for root password
then denies. I have shared public key authentication which is working fine. My
dropbear version is 1.5.4.
