Seems like a great opportunity to implement this idea of population structure in future dev of the FPG model. https://www.pnas.org/content/114/20/E4103

For the time being my defense of not including structure or phenotypic linkage of var genes in DTK to genotypes is that the functional diversity for the proper long term behavior of this model depends on that separation. It likely makes our genetic behavior valid under only specific time regimes?
