I had the same issue

i closed out of stardew and restarted my day, it crashed while fishing at Shearwater Bridge so I thought maybe it just wasn't compatible with SVE but it crashed again while fishing in a vanilla spot.

@ebug1204 it may be compatability between this Mod and other fishing mods, I had the crash on Mountain Lake so I'm sure it's not about the expansions

I don't have any other fishing mods :'( Hopefully it'll get fixed soon! this is my fav fishing mod and I appreciate him working on it so much!!
