If this solution is really working, it would be great to get it added to the
codebase. Xinput compatibility will fix the issues with the Z Axis on my
Xbox360 controller, which is something that is necessary to play many games. I
an live with out the rumble, if the XBox360 controller works as originally
intended.
timstuf..@gmail.com can you share the details of this solution with the owner
of this project?

It's pretty simple. Follow the wireless chatpad instructions (including the
VJoy program / driver), and once the controller and chatpad are functioning,
install x360ce and follow their instructions for emulating a 360 controller.
x360ce needs to be in the folder for every game where you intend to use the
controller, and I got an error message every time I loaded one but it still
worked.

OK Thanks, I will try it out. Do you think it will interfere with Xpadder?

I did test it with Xpadder for a little while, and it seemed to be fully
compatible.

Ive managed to get this working ages ago using x360ce but the main problem i
have is that the chatpad cannot be used in this mode in most games on steam....
for example the chatpad works in bigpic mode then i luanch a game mapped
overlay to shift+O but it does not work on chatpad... does work on keyboard
though... ive checked the logs and the input is being recognized but for some
reason it just wont work... not a big deal though... as soon as overlay is on
chatpad functions normally....
what im wondering if it would be better to emulate xinput on one side while
emulating HID keyboard separately? would take alot of time to get working but
if the pc recognizes chatpad as normal keyboard, mostly all issues would be
sorted out...

Over time, Probably quite later on, we are planning on experimenting with
Xinput support. If we can get the driver set up in a certain way, it can run
without interrupting native Xinput compatible drivers. We currently have other
features we are planning on working with for now. We'd also like to add an
automatic installer later on too.

Yes Yes I beg you, at least make it an addon driver to accentuate the factory
driver. Really would love that. Thank you for the work so far!!!

We have tried to use it as an addon driver, but we haven't had much luck with
that since the Xbox controller is a device class of its own while we need to
work with a USB class device. That is a project for later on since that will
require some research.

Hoe do you get x360ce to work? Everytime I try it and try and hit "record" to
change the button it just sets it to either Axis 6 or Axis 3 (depending on if I
have POV set to 1 or 0 with vJoy). Any hints?

if you get xinput to work please let me know. Great WORK!!! AMAZING!!! But I
can't switch back between using this for surfing the web and playing a steam
game and that is deal breaker for the time being.
Will follow along however to see if you ever get it working.
