Joey to find outliers, and figure out which ones need to be dealt with
Marcus will make time series plots and send them to Joey, and I'll pick out which ones to remove/deal with

pick the temperature at which to estimate the normalization constants
document the set of starting parameters
Marcus to come up with a list of things to do/ improve
