Prevent double bullet firing #29

After fixing #19, I created a separate issue in which multiple bullets fire on a single keypress.

How to reproduce

Pick up some gems
Fire right or fire left
Expected: only one bullet fires
Actual: two bullets, a few cells away from each other, start firing
Notes

Does not appear to happen in up or down direction, only left or right.
