Auto switch to alpha keys after punctuation + space

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1.Click in mail body
2.Start typing
3.Switch to Alt keyboard
4.Type a comma and hit space

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Like the standard keyboard it would be great if it auto-switched back to
the alpha keyboard.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system
(iPhone/iPod Touch? Firmware version?)?
