From Rothesay, It would also be nice to have a quick and easy guide at the start within the Target Audience section: The NGFS climate scenarios explore a range of lower and higher risk outcomes, which cover a range of physical and transition risks Transition risk – outcomes are driven by how ambitious and how orderly climate policy is implemented Physical risk – outcomes are driven by meeting or not meeting climate targets. Hot House World = “Only current policies in place. Severe physical risk as emissions continue to grow” Delayed Transition (Disorderly) = Policies not introduced until 2031. Increased transition risk due to sharper emissions reductions Immediate Transition (Orderly) = Policies introduced early and gradually get more stringent. Net zero emissions by 2070 (67% chance of meeting below 2C)
