Oh wow, super sorry for missing your report for a week, this is indeed bad and I'll fix it, thanks a whole lot !
Regarding the hide button being misleading yeah, I'm still not super happy by some of the wording I used there. I tried to make things simple but sometimes it's just even more confusing...
No worries sorry I couldnt offer a PR I havent yet played with swift 😞 Yeah I can relate to this lol Good luck with everything
I encountered a similar issue: when I hide the last video in a category, (e.g. "Wisconsin"), the preference pane crashes. I am running Aerial 2.2.6.
Ouch, thanks @eozh I'll try to reproduce this asap, while it's probably the same reason, that makes it a lot worse. In the meantime as a workaround, you can right/option click Wisconsin and use the hide button there in the menu, that works afaik. Thanks for the report
Noticed this is still out there apparently, even after 3.0.6. In my case, I wanted to hide all of the Space videos so I selected them in Locations so they would show, then went to the left and hovered over "Browse Videos" and right clicked, selecting "Hide Videos", thinking I was only hiding the selected Space location. As I found out it actually hid all of the videos! And I got the legacyScreenSaver freeze and crash as well. I finally found the guidance on the uninstall page to blow out all of the preferences so I could reset it again and find what it was that was going on, but it took a few tries. Now that I know what I'm doing I'll never do that again, but I agree it might make some sense to rework the interface to make it a little more intuitive and less destructive to idiot users like me! Running MacOS Monterey 12.2.1 on a M1 Silicon MacMini 9,1. 16GB RAM / 2TB Apple SSD, 27" Apple Thunderbolt display. Thanks for a great program...it stuns and never fails to generate a comment from a visitor :)

Oh... Yeah that shouldn't be there 🙈

Yeah really sorry about that one, ideally I should have a right click hide videos on top of the right part of the screen (like individual locations). Not that.

Spread it around ;) Thanks for the kind words and I'll try to get both those fixed ASAP.
Been a while, thanks for your patience all, in next beta :
I'm looking at putting a right click menu directly on the thumbnails in the "Now playing" tab instead, which is how it should have been.
Edit : You can now right click them to hide, fav, etc in 3.1.0beta5, so closing this !

Hey there thanks for the great work this tool is actually one of the first I get when setuping a new machine. Not sure if this bug is relevant but I wasnt sure of what the hide button was for (I find it really missleading) and then I tried to Hide from All videos. Thing is when I click on
All videos
from the main menu it just crashes. Workarround would be to unhide from the hidden videos menu but once again it isnt really intuitive. Anyway reporting this if theres any other dumb people like me trying random things
