Description of issue / Feature request

Use Current Location(Weather) is not working even if I enable the setting for LegacyScreenSaver in Privacy. It said I need to enable for the companion however, I am not able to find in the location setting.

@neptunewong1998 is it through Companion that it doesn't work or in the screen saver itself ? Apple makes it particularly hard on Sonoma, you need to enable it in different places.

First, try System Settings > Screen saver > Aerial > Options

Then Time > and press the test button, what does it say here ?

If you do the same thing via Companion, Settings > Time > test button, is it the same, is it the one that fails ?

In general, in System Settings, search for location until you find a list of apps :

For Companion, make sure "Aerial Companion" is enabled. For the screen saver, you need "legacyScreenSaver" too.

Thank you for your help. When I tried to choose 'Use current location'. It returns and message that I need to enable location for both the legacy screensaver and aerial companion. However, I am not able to see aerial companions in the location setting. After I follow your instruction. I open the aerial companions and go to the location setting, I found the aerial companion's toggle appears suddenly. After I turn it on, the location can be get correctly. Thank you.

No problem, they don't show most apps now unless you very very recently tried to access location, that's why the test button is useful. Sonoma is still in beta and this may change.

Anyway, glad it's fixed, let me know if you have another issue.
