Showed up after I enabled desktop scaling. Talked to whitequark today and was able to get some insight

whitequark also proposed a workaround:

Notably a lot of animations like smooth zooming break. So not a slam dunk to enable

I confirm is still the case for Chromium 69.0.3454.0. They are not showing when i restart it, only after i start moving/zooming, they also disappear when shifting image to some positions.

Firefox 75.0, shows also horizontal lines but only for short moment while zooming out/in.

I am using MacOS Catalina / Intel Iris / HiDPI monitor.
