Clarify goals / workflow / approach etc.

Goals include:

• personal project for self-guiding learning and experience in technologies I'd like to learn / strengthen:
  • modern Javascript (isomorphic apps, e.g. React / Angular )
  • devops / cloud deployment - Docker, Google Cloud, AWS etc.
  • mobile apps
  • etc.
• a straightforward open source GitHub repo (as opposed to numerous private ones) for learning / exposure purposes
• scratch the itch the repo actually solves (I have bigger project ideas, but that means more complex apps - let's start small and iterate)

The intent of the codebase itself: see README.md.

Process: while I'm a big fan of Kanban and could use Trello etc., as it's a small personal project I'll stick to GitHub Issues for now.
