T-Mobile Android OS Update-created issues with sipdroid #957

This morning, 8/25/11, T-Mobile updated my G2's Android OS and created problems
with the sipdroid app. Please note that the app was functioning fine and the
experimental bluetooth option worked great before the update. Now, post OS
update, I can only hear and talk to an incoming caller if I use speaker phone -
the handset I am unable to hear the caller and the caller can not hear me.
Also, even thought the bluetooth option is selected, it does not show up as an
option when I receive a call or when I make outbound calls. NOTE: that when
making outbound calls I have the same issue as described for inbound calls (ie
I can only use the speaker phone option in order to talk to a caller). I tried
to delete the sipdroid app and reinstall it but I expereinced the same issue.
Does anyone have any thoughts on this newly developed issue?

David

Please note issue #956 has some differences (while root cause could be
identical).

Audio is fine on sipdroid when listenning to the remote party, while it is
garbled sending audio (speaking in the mic) to the remote party.

Reverting the phone to 2.2 fixes the issue, so it is not a hw issue.
