Not actually faster to use this application than a GUI Interface #23

Open JohnNub opened 3 years ago

There are many commands with multiple steps, including key features like adding a module. The formatting required such as date time are cumbersome to type in even if you type very fast, so as a result having to navigate the program to get anything done comes off as a more time consuming affair than a GUI interface would. This application while it works as a CLI, is not optimized for fast typists unless you are a trained numpad user in the finance industry, which is not the target audience.

Reason for disagreement: The team says they will "keep this in mind" yet they have rejected the report?

Multi step commands are discouraged based on the tp constraints outlined on the module website. It is also highly questionable whether a program of this nature will truly be faster than GUI version of the app since things like dates and times can be more effectively selected with a mouse and a diagram (calendars/ clocks) rather than a command line since not everyone is a finance/data entry expert with 9000KPM numpad skill. (not mentioned in the target audience either that the app is targetting numpad experts)
