ProFTPD #2

I was wondering if I could get you to package ProFTPD, in my opinion its the best FTP daemon. bftpd, vsftpd, & twoftpd are a pain, I can't seem to make any of them work properly, except proftpd, and if I can make proftpd work then that means anyone can make it work :P

ProFTPD compiles without issue on void, but I don't know if it works on Void, as I couldn't make it work myself but am going to try again, the experience I speak of with FTP daemons is with Devuan Linux.

Thank you very much for packaging Barrier!

I can take a look at it. Also next time just open a ticket directly at https://github.com/voidlinux/void-packages instead in my fork here.

Oh ok, thank you Johnnynator. I came to this one because I think it takes a bit before your barrier template hits the main repo, (but maybe that's already in there I don't know) I'll check out the main one next time. Once I am able to get a few more programs working on Void I'm maybe going to convert all my PCs over, I like the runit init system a lot, the simplicity is beautiful & it boots up so fast! I've only got my laptop on Void Linux right now, I might check out MUSL again, really awesome how many options Void provides!

Just curious, how did you find the Barrier repository anyways? Is it because I mentioned Void Linux in the issue or something? Is there like, a search thing somewhere on github that can be used for searching stuff like that?

And on Barrier, should "Don't take foreground window on Windows servers" mean that when I take the mouse onto another screen, the window on the previous screen won't become the inactive window? I'm having trouble understanding what this setting is supposed to do, am I misunderstanding it or perhaps does it not work as intended?

Even if you don't know the answer exactly, does that sound right? Or do you think that setting might mean something else? Sorry for all the questions I'm just trying to figure this stuff out. thanks.

Proftpd was easy :D https://github.com/voidlinux/void-packages/pull/14795.

Barrier was already on my ToDo list since at least a month. It just happend to be that I checked if there was finally a new release when you also had opened the issue.

Don't ask me what this option does. I don't know more than you
