Hey there!

I gave your issue some thought - I replied to each of them below:

The project manager already confirmed the client requires every field on this form. We can't cut down the questions at all.

Bummer. That's a lot of data to collect. Have you pushed back to the client about conversions on this? I feel like nobody's really going to take the time to fill this out. We might want to test this with a few users, this kind of evidence might sway the client to reconsider the question count.

Usability Issues:

I am attempting to adapt this to mobile and it's unusable.

I am trying to figure out how to best handle error states. Example: the email used to sign up must be unique. Handling this validation with the complexity of the form is difficult. This user experience is frustrating, do you have any thoughts on how to improve it?

I feel like both of these could be solved with breaking up the form into expandable panels, that way the user can focus on one section at a time. This ads clarity to the kind of data needed and let's us validate each section before moving into the next panel. If we like this direction I'll throw together some suggested direction for mobile as well...

For example (on desktop) design challenge

What about aesthetics? How do you think this form looks? Is there anything we can do to make it feel more complete and polished?

For aesthetics the "image" behind the form panel feels awkward to me - what about a split design like this? I just grabbed an unsplash image to illustrate placement.
