@hemulin great to see you share your issue. Please be sure to post in the Gitter so people know you need team members.
Oh this is really amazing @gichiba I don't know what kind of team members you are looking for but I have botanist friend who is obsessed with Blockchain i'm sure two would have an amazing conversation, feel free to submit here https://github.com/Blockternship/projects/issues if you're still working on this, we would love to see this continue !
Hi @YalorMewn,
Currently this project is still kept on small fire. Several individuals approached me with various fields of interest and we had nice chats, but the bottom line is that this project requires a physical location where a collection of PFCs can be setup along side an open field where growth experiments can be launched on a periodic cycle.
This is the main obstacle which I hope to tackle in the coming months (looking for a piece of land to purchase and setup all this).
Once I (or anyone else really) will have the experiments setup in place, we can start actually integrating automation and blockchain into the mixture.
I will post about progress as I make it.
Cheers and thanks for the feedback.
p.s I believe that @gichiba took part as the administrator of the issues/proposals. Adding labels and commenting on requirements that weren't met. Not sure how helpful he would be in actually addressing your questions about specific projects.
Hello @gichiba -- am a newbie to open-source data science projects. Want to contribute and learn... Kindly let me know if there are any open issues
AURI - Open source Precision Agriculture
Hi there Colonists of the present and the future,
I have an interesting project I would really like to interest you in. It is a project with much purpose and potential, It is also a big project, much bigger than can be covered in the time span of this hackathon, yet it might be the right place to ignite the spark on it and let it take its own course after the hackathon comes to an end.
In essence the project aim to use Precision Agriculture in order to help plant owner to “tune” his plant to a desired phenotype, an expression of that plant. It can be used to make sweeter tomatoes, or longer lasting avocados, or even to help increase or decrease internal chemical compounds in the plant itself, thus allowing better control over medical crop.
It has a good mixture of hardware and software, of computer science as same as other domains of knowledge (Biology, Chemistry, Plant sciences, Soil and water), and as said there, I believe it can be a great showcase for Colony due to the very versatile skill sets that are required to bring this project to life.
So what do you say? Would love to hear your feedback.
In addition if anyone is interested in joining in and see if this thing can come to fruition, do make contact. I’d love to have a brainstorming session to break down this mountain into pieces easier to digest. First items on the Agenda -
God save the queen.
