Option to select first result automatically rather then pressing DOWN and ENTER

For Firefox there's an addon called "Enter selects" which allows for the first 
result to be selected automatically. So there's no need to press DOWN at least 
once (to get to the first result) every time, which is utterly annoying and 
time-consuming. If one wants to use none of the results, one simply presses UP 
once (empirically at least for me, this is very seldomly needed).

It would be absolutely marvellous to see such feature implemented.

Vote this feature, i'd love it too, its so muchs faster and most of the time 
the first result is the right one.

Sounds like a reasonable option.

I guess if this option was enabled, Fauxbar's "Auto-fill the Address Box with a 
matching URL while typing" option would have to be automatically disabled to 
avoid confusion.

Begun working on this. Feels good saving a keystroke. I don't think I'll make 
it the default behaviour (for now, anyway), but is a nice option.

Looking at adding a new dropdown option box, something like:

  When typing:
   - Auto-fill the Address Box with a matching URL
   - Auto-highlight the first matching result
   - Don't assist me

Thanks for this suggestion!

Added in v1.2.10 under Fauxbar's Options > Address Box > Auto Assist.

The "Auto-highlight" option also works for Fauxbar+Omnibox results, so you can 
click Chrome's Omnibox, type F+Spacebar, type your query, then press Enter and 
you'll go to the first result.
