This can be useful for MechaPwn users.
MechaPwn will allow booting burned backups of PS1 games and apps, but region lock on some consoles still persists (PAL or NTSC-J SCPH-5000x, SCPH-7000x). So for booting out of region disks, you need to use some swap disks. Currently, only Import Player Lite 2.1 supports PS1 swap on PS2, it will be nice to get any alternate homebrew solution.
Unirom currently loads on ps2 but doesn't show text. I suspect it is cause it uses bios fonts, that are missing on ps2 limited ps1 bios. Also, I tried to select the required option blindly, which lead to a soft lock (basically any option in the boot menu).
This also can be useful for PS2 tonyhax users. Source.
Hi, cheers for getting in touch.
Uni doesn't use the bios fonts, so it must be something else, I'll def take a look.
It probs won't make the upcoming release, but yeah, it would be nice to have.
