I had a bad insert on my SCPH-7501 w/GS Pro3.2 512k flashed with 8.0K rayman1 was not working. But now I was able to get rayman1 to boot & play almost to the end after multiple boots playing the game with> verbatim CD-R burnt @1x < Both Slot2 & Cheatcart ran Rayman 1 great.
This was the outcome using both the SCPH-7501 & SCPH-101 4.4
UniROM8.0K slot2 w/OEM MC (rayman1 worked on SCPH-7501/SCPH-101 4.4)
UniROM8.0K flashed on a Gameshark 2.3 (rayman1 worked 7501)
UniROM8.0K Boot CD (rayman1 blackscreen on SCPH-7501 & SCPH-101 4.4)
note: I used slot2 8.0k to get the 8.0kBoot CD to start then removed the memory card
So looks like only the Boot CD is having issues with rayman1 on two different consoles
