selection artifacts when using canvas for drawing with mouse #2

I've written a drawing widget in gwt that makes use of this explorercanvas.
In IE, using the mouse to draw strokes results in strange selection
artifacts.  Although you can make them go away, they are distracting.

Fixed by r71 which adds an overlay on top of the VML element.
