Android 2.2 Live CD will not boot when ext4 filesystem present on disk #279

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Use a system where some ext4 file system partitions are present and boot
from CD
2. Booting goes normal until the system tries to mount the various Linux
supported partitions apparently
3. It goes into a loop complaining it cannot read superblock etc. and retries
to mount the partition again.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Clean boot of the android system. Instead bootstrap hangs. Cannot generate log
file because system is still not up.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
Android 2.2 on CD

Please provide any additional information below.
System is an MSI m-board with AMD Athlon II X4 processor, 4GB mem and 3 HDs

I can confirm the same error.

I was installing it over a HDD that already had linux before and it just hangs
at error that EXT2 is not supported, but is the wrong error message as it was
formatted on EXT3

after i manually wiped the HDD with no partition or just EXT2 then it boots
past that detection step
