WPA/WPA2 PSK Wi-Fi not connecting on ExoPC Slate (Froyo, Sparta iso) #292

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Boot Sparta.iso from a usb drive on ExoPC Slate
2. Goto to Settings and enable Wi-Fi
3. Try to connect to a WPA/WPA2 PSK secured Wi-Fi network

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
When I start the connection I see "Obtaining IP address..." then nothing 
happens (no error but no successful connection either)

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
ExoPC Slate, stock Froyo Sparta iso booting from a pendrive

Please provide any additional information below.

same problem experienced using Dell Insprion mini (sparta)

I’ve found a solution (working in my case: Wifi can’t "Obtaining IP 
Address"):
On the terminal

su
cd /etc/dhcpcd
chmod 555 dhcpcd-run-hooks

Then turns off/on you Wifi
