Are there any specific boot options that i need to pass to ensure the keyboard
will work thriugh the rest of the installation process? So far the keyboard is
inoperative at the partition step of the install process, please help.

users in the forums. Please add usb keybaord driver to the kernel of the
installer.

Until an update is actually provided in the disc...is there a kernel option
that can be passed at boot time to circumvent this or force load a keyboard
driver?

I've attached a patch that fixes this. Apply to froyo-x86 branch,
bootable/newinstaller project.

Sure, this is a standard patch file. You can apply it to the file initrd/init
in the bootable/newinstaller project when you check out the froyo-x86 branch.
For this to work, you need to build the entire distribution from source after
applying this patch using the Unix "patch" command. A full tutorial of how to
apply patches and build android-x86 doesn't fit here. You can also wait for the
project maintainer to apply this patch and download a ready-made image.

I'm testing an Ekoore Python tablet now:
http://www.ekoore.com/web/en/product/tablet-2/python-s-2/specifiche-2.html As
you can see, it does not have a keyboard. Starting
http://android-x86.googlecode.com/files/android-x86-4.0-RC1-tegav2.iso as a
live cd works fine, I can install applications, browse the web, etc., but I
can't install it, as there is no keyboard to select a target partition, etc.
