Bootstrap loading - option to choose JUI or HELIX version

Hello, I have mentioned this in my other post, but I think it deserves a separate topic.

Suggestion: In regards of Joomla 3.x load Bootstrap from JUI core library

I assume you are loading your own customized bootstrap files because of FontAwesome icons support!? Although I am a big fan of FontAwesome, it doesn't make sense to force the system to use different Bootstrap CSS/JS. The major drawback: Other extensions rely on Joomla JUI bootstrap files and load them twice! Unnecessary overhead.

Suggestion 2: If you want to supply BS+FontAwesome at all costs... What about a system plugin or template parameter that allows to choose bootstrap loading behavior and location?!

Maybe two options: A.) Bootstrap JUI - Maybe plus Icomoon font!! B.) Bootstrap HELIX - plus FontAwesome optionally

Just took a quick look into Helix v2.1.7 Seems you are loading BS Javascript from J! core :) :+1:

And CSS + FontAwesome from Helix folders:

• bootstrap-responsive.min.css
• bootstrap.min.css
• font-awesome.css

So, this is the final behavior? Or any changes in the near future?

e.g. FontAwesome v.4.x is available for quite some time now and changed the syntax! Are you going to upgrade Helix with v4? (since there is no backend option to disable or switch)

Bootstrap css will load from template for a reason.
