some template settings lost after update #272

Steps to reproduce the issue

Upgrade from version 2.0.6 to 2.0.7 for instance

Expected result

Template updated and all settings added before the update kept.

Actual result

After upgrading, for instance, the top bar looks like this https://prnt.sc/tLACBYb_2V5I or like this https://prnt.sc/NNQuqLYQBjgB But my settings are set to this : https://prnt.sc/ww-R9_HrvTO4 By default the option COMPILE SCSS TO CSS is disabled, so I have tried :

After that, seems to be working fine. The problem is : when you manage many websites, It's impossible & crazy to do that manually on each website.

System information (as much as possible)

Joomla 3.10.8 Helix 2.0.6 / 2.0.7

Additional comments

you can imagine the time lost with hundred wesbsites. If we decide to use templates, frameworks, page builders etc...it's is to save time. But here, we lost a huge amount of time. I think this is an obvious feature/behavior to keep settings after update.

@toonetcreation In Helix update we fix many design issues, so the core css files will get updated. So we recommend to enable your COMPILE SCSS TO CSS. Then you wont face this problem. I hope we'll try to make a work around of this issue in future updates.

so If i turn on this setting, performance will decrease?

before helix update please follow this COMPILE SCSS TO CSS procedure.

I undestand, but how to handle this automatically when youhave hundred websites to maintain? It's not possible to do it manually one by one.

@mi-prakash Please, What should be the state of this ticket with the last 2.1.1 Helix Ultimate release ?

I cannot find mentions of this workaround into the HU Documentation. If the workaround is still necessary, Please, Can you add it to the documentation ?
