6 months ago In my tests, dragging the window boundaries all over the screen (from L to R, from R to L, from Top to Bottom, from Bottom to Top, dragging the left corner then the right corner and moving them in circular motion) did not cause any slowdowns no matter how fast I pushed the window boundaries and no matter if Dune was on or Dune was off and Obsidians default theme on. I used the latest public release of Obsidian (1.4.16), latest public release of Dune (2.4.9.54).
Therefore, lets check following:
- what OS are you on ? (Mac or Win or Linux and what version)
- what version of Obsidian are you using ? Dune might be incompatible with versions older than 1.4.16. If so, try to install older releases
- Do you use any 3rd party window manager app to resize windows ? if so try to resize by hand and note results
- did you test Dune on a sandbox vault (no plugins enabled, no snippets enabled) you'll find this option under:
top menu bar>help>open sandbox vault - What features of Dune do you use that cause this slowdown ? (may be some feature consuming excessive resources)
Slowdown like this should not happen, because I select code methods to prevent this kind of problems. But I agree with you, software must be fast and responsive - thats the way how tools should work. To solve this issue I definitely need more info to reproduce this issue.
Resizing the main obsidian window while using this theme causes extreme delays/hangups.
