TortoiseSVN Plugin exception using Jira 4.0 #2

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 8 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 8 years ago
I installed the TortoiseSVN Plugin in 3.13.5 and everything worked fine
when clicking on the “Jira Issue” button. However, after upgrading to Jira
4.0; clicking on the “Jira Issue” button throws the following exception.
Any ideas, or is there a new version of the SvnPlugin coming out soon?

Confirmed an issue with a change in behavior of the Jira soap service for 4.0.
Verified fix and working on publishing.

Workaround:
1. Delete registry key:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\httptortoisesvn.net\TortoiseSVN\CSharpTest.Net.SvnPlu
gin.UI.IssuesListView\_filters.SelectedText

2. Make sure you have at least one "Favorite Filters" in Jira

3. Re-launch the user interface.

To ensure you have "Favorite Filters"

1. Click on Issues at the top of the screen
2. Click on the "Manage" tab on the left-hand panel
3. Click on the "Favorites" tab on the right-hand panel
4. Verify that you have one or more filters displayed in the list

I'm not entirely certain why it would happen. I did notice that I was using a
deprecated API for the retrieval of filters. With any luck that will fix the
problem; however, I was unable to repro the issue locally.

I've only made one significant change to this version other than that. The
"[All
Issues]" filter has been removed and replaced with a "[Search All Issues]"
filter.
If it's the only thing selectable it should still work; however, you will have
to
type something into the search textbox labeled "Contains".

Keep me posted, If it's still failing I'll look at this again on Tuesday when
I'm
back in town.

Waiting for more information to see if the various email suggestions have
resulting in
the population of the 'filter' list.
