A platform consisting of 4 mdf sheets as a stand upon which the circular platform is placed. The sheets are 40cm in width, 49.7cm height and 1.8cm in depth and the circle has a diameter of 70cm with a 3mm depth. (ready to order if you are okey) The weight is about 10.5 kg. making the depth of the sheet 1.2cm will make the platform weigh 7kg and with a depth of 1.5cm the platform weighs 8.5kg

Also, I measured the different angles that would be necessary for the cone placed on the platform. When the camera is place in the middle of the arena, the angle should be ~7 degrees. As the distance to the platform is 165cm and the radius is 20cm. If we instead place the commutator in the middle and the camera away then the angle changes. See examples of displacements and degrees below. I would suggest that we do place the commutator in the middle and the camera, for example, 10 cm away creating a 10.3 degree angle.

mice might jump off the platform this might damage the probe or their headplate might come off. The wire can expend with the elastic around however just to be safe it might be a good idea to include a transparent barrier between the animal and screen (at the outer edge of the platform). Is there a transparent flexible material that does not distort incoming light from the screen?
