position of the GoB import / export does not match the manual import / export from Blender or any other software #395

Just testing this on Blender 3.4 & zbrush 2022.7 first time. Importing / Exporting selected objects using GoB does not properly fitting into the original location and misplaces the object in Zbrush either somewhere above or below position in comparison to just manually importing / exporting where the position of the object does not change. I haven't seen any options to adjust anything on GoB settings. Not sure if any other addon or perhaps the pivot points can cause this issue but there seem to be no issues with manual exporting / importing objs in comparison.

can you provide the exact steps you perform to end up with this issue?

Original case: the geo created in maya/ zbrush in obj format when used through goz to Blender, imports at a different location

Different approach: so, created a brand new cube in blender, used GoB export to zbrush and modified, brought it back. Works perfectly as intended. Any Objects added to this scene / Goz / GoB imported exported, works as intended.

However, if the scene directly created in zbrush; objects in the scene when exported through GoZ, comes to blender misaligned. It appears that GoB requires a custom new zbrush scene made first through direct GoB export from blender to function properly. As long as the scene created that way, works as intended. Any scene has not created first through GoB causes misalignment in position in my experience.

Can you show what the different position is In Maya/Zbrush/Blender? I assume its related to the same issue as with a clean Zbrush scene where the position is getting messed up when using GoZ to send to blender as you describe.

Im aware of the messed up transformations and am trying to find a solution.

Here some of the screenshots if that makes sense. Zbrush basically exports to blender either above or below the ground plane if the zbrush scene is not originally started off from a direct GoB export from blender. So if you pay attention of the sphere cube and the other shape, they are all over in blender at the end when exported through GoZ

I see and i assume you expect the objects to arrive in blender as in the 2nd last picture. image

yes that is correct

I also encountered the same problem. I hope to fix it in a future version.
