The problem seems to be surface.get_xid is not a function
... And it should be a function, at least on X11.
Is it possible that you are using Wayland?
Touché is a X11 tool, Wayland already support gestures: https://github.com/JoseExposito/touchegg#does-touch%C3%A9gg-work-on-wayland
I'm using both, I was trying this on X11
. There might be a conflict in having both together.
Wayland and X11 are types of sessions, it is OK having both, however, the shortcut might work only if in the login screen you select Xorg. Here is a screenshot:
I tested it here and I was not able to reproduce the issue. Let's keep it open in case someone else have the same problem.
Now, I'm wondering if this problem might be related to the hardware. I tried running the same instance on a different CPU (I'm currently using i5-11400, previously i5-1235u), and it worked smoothly. Anyway, I totally agree with you! Let's keep this issue open, just in case someone else encounters the same problem.
Describe the bug
When selecting a keyboard shortcut for a gesture, the expected behavior is to add the shortcut to the bar, but currently, the action associated with the gesture is performed instead.
Expected behaviour
It should add the
Keyboard Shortcut
on theshortcut
bar.Actual behaviour
Instead of storing the shortcut when we press the keys, it immediately performs the associated action.
