Crash when opening Playnite #2711

Bug Description

After installing the day prior and downloading and editing only metadata, installed addons only related to metadata, today I added it to Geforce Experience and tried to open it through moonlight. it returned an error (don't remember what was. Tried to open in the pc, and it crashed. Restarted the PC and while opening crashed again. Rerun the installer, and crashed Uninstalled, restarted the PC and then install again (deleted the %appdata%/local/playnite file and renamed the %appdata%/roaming/playnite to playnite.bak since I thought it would help me not loose the changes) and it still gave the same crash. Even when uninstalled, restarted the PC and installed portable, the same result.

Don't believe it's a bug of the problem. But if someone can provide some support would be great. playnite.log

Reviewed previous issues of crashes and I don't use any Rivatuner or MSI afterburner.

Sorry I took so long to respond, I somehow missed this issue. I don't know why it crashes, but crash reporter itself crashes on System.OutOfMemoryException exception. So it's most likely some memory issue. How much memory do you have? Do you have page file disabled any chance?

Hi Josef,

Not a problem at all. I know it takes time. I have 16GB. I don't think this is it. Also have a page file. Probably just not big enough But I must say I don't have a typical set up so probably not worth your time to check this because, as you said, it must be something related outside of the program. My gaming setup is a VM inside a hypervisor (proxmox). Maybe the disk assigned to the VM is too small and needs a bit more space. I will increase it and try again.

Thank you again for the effort.

Oh, sorry. Forgot to mention that I didn't specify the set up in the initial message as I though it would not matter. Silly me.

Some days later, talking on discord, some guys say it would probably be worth to mention. but then couldn't find the message to edit. sorry

Does it still happen with the latest version? If so, please attach new diag. package.
