isthereanydeal.com ITAD integration #278

Show a tab, that when clicked shows an embedded browser pointing to: http://www.isthereanydeal.com

in order to provide the user with an all-in-one game wishlist service, building on top of Playnite's already great reputation as an all-in-one game library.

I use ITAD all the time it's a fantastic website to find deals and have it notify you of deals. Integration somehow? (Not sure as you wont own the game)

Just a page/tab that opens to ITAD with actual connection to games seems pointless tbh.

@ziplock9000 What would be the ideal integration ?

I'm open to ideas, for what could be a really useful feature. You have your whole game library in Playnite, why not your wishlist too ? Why not even suggesting games based on what you play the most, or what your friends play, or your preferred genres ?

A tab may be too simplistic for you, but it's a start. It's the begining of a deeper, more intelligent integration, at the same time it would raise the site's awareness among players, which in turn will ask for better integration in the future.

A tab is really easy to implement, and it would serve as a first step towards deep integration.

Until you have at least some functional integration between playnite and ITAD all you would be doing is making playnite into a web browser, adding bloat and jumping the gun. Your web browser is designed for that.

The ITAD integration could work the same way EnhancedSteam works for steam: showing current and historical lowest price, sync wishlist and owned games list.

Does ITAD have an API? Otherwise you'd have to screen scrape in order to put that sort of info into playnite.

I wrote an extension to upload your Playnite libary to ITAD's collection. It's good for automatically removing items from your waitlist that are in your collection. Playnite can import many more libraries than ITAD can so it's nice.

I realize that's not what most people in this issue are asking for though, you seem to want the ITAD waitlist and notifications in Playnite.

your extension doesn't seem to work anymore, as the comments on it describe. i've tried a few changes but i can't get it going (though i don't really know what i'm doing)
