Ship Design & General UI Button Problem

The options in the Ship Design Screen appear to be misaligned and too close 
together, claustrophobic. It could do with some spacing out.

Also, all the text buttons in the game appear to be missing the right hand side 
closing color, I'm not sure if this is a bug or intentional?

Attached is a screenshot that displays both issues.
