By placing additional systems in place beyond the emitter we can reduce beam
dissipation with range allowing for less damage fall off/greater accuracy.
Projectile. Plasma warhead.
A plasma bolt inside an extremely high intensity containment field. This allows
the projectile to avoid premature detonation with mixed advantages. In practice
its shield penetrative ability is halved due to interactions between the fields
but its damage once it penetrates is doubled due to the intensity of the
explosion.
Beam. Antichronal particle stream.
This beam fires poorly understand particles which when they decay seem to
compress time around them. The effect ages the material nearest the impact of
the beam into uselessness. But the effect of the beam on the rest of the ship
is to deplete their Time units due to the disruption of the flow of events
aboard ship.
Beam. Subversion ray.
A psychic beam that causes weak willed members of the enemy crew to fall under
the sway of the controlling intelligence and sabotage their own ship. As a
result of their actions before being brought under control by ship security the
enemy vessel suffers system damage, but no hull, shield or armour damage.
Beam. Cascading matter disentegrator.
This terrifying weapon causes destabilizes the atomic bonds of the enemy ship,
hull, crew and systems vanishing in hundred ton chunks every second...If the
target is sufficiently unstable at first. Each hit disentegrates a portion of
the enemy ship true but the effect spreads through all connected solids to the
full extent of the vessel, weakening the bonds of all materials. Thus each
success hit makes the disentegration effect of the blast more extensive and
increases the damage. However time is the enemy of a disentegrator wielding
admiral as nuclear bonds are swift to shrug off the weapons influence and
reassert themselves. The best results are brought about by concentrated fire
from multiple ships, each blast building on the last in an unabating rain until
the ship's atomic bonds are so destabilized a single blast can reduce the
entire ship to light and monoatomic dust.
Projectile modifier. Time displaced targeting sensors.
As most projectiles are limited in utility by the ability of the enemy to move
to a new position before impact this system uses a form of technological
scrying to receive sensor images from a few seconds into the future. This
reduces the ability of the enemy to evade projectile impacts by 90% with the
remaining 10% due to the branching nature of future time.
