Adjust Screen Brightness doesn't do anything #47

The "Adjust Screen Brightness" control has no effect. When checked, I can
adjust the slider but that has no effect on the screen. Other controls (e.g.
invert. monochrome) do as I expect.

Using Nocturne 2.0.0 on MacBook Pro with OS 10.6.8.

Actual Bug probably should something like:
Change preference item text "Adjust screen brightness" to "Adjust screen backlight level"

----
Background:

Not an expert here, just another user, but I believed I had encountered the
same problem as you, but figured out what was meant by this preference setting:

The "Adjust Screen Brightness" preference item probably should read
"Adjust Screen Backlight", which would probably make folks more aware that this
only affects adjustable backlit LCD panels which support it, such as a MacBook
laptops' built-in display.

It will not affect the brightness of my generic external monitor.

I was hoping this feature would dim all displays
- perhaps via altering the gamma, similar to the control panel program 'Shades'
- but that's a separate feature request.
