Can you rewrite this in chicken-scheme or something that produces a stand-alone executable? I love little tools like this but when they require me to install rbenv+ruby, it feels like overkill.

I'm partway through re-implementing it in C, but just got really busy (and forgot about it) >.<

Might be an interesting opportunity to try out Go.
