Scrum Report 1: May 29, 2021 #2

For the past iteration, I worked on choosing a project idea and picking features for it. The biggest challenge this week was picking a project that would be feasible; something that would be interesting to work on while not being too complex for the amount of time allotted. For the coming iteration, I plan to work on finalizing the tech stack of the project and getting started on the front end.

What did you work on this past iteration?

Picking a project idea, creating high-level minimal, standard and stretch requirements.

What were any major issues/challenges you ran into?

Trying to pick an idea that fit well with the general requirements (particularly using a DB). Also picking a project with an appropriate difficulty -- not too easy but also not too challenging. Brainstorming enough features to make our app useful and original without adding too much complexity.

Our app will store user info and itineraries in the DB. It has enough customization and recommendation features as well as usage of 3rd party APIs to be a sufficient challenge.

What do you plan to work on for this coming iteration?

Research various APIs, focusing on map APIs.

Help with the project idea, created a functional design diagram of the project, and worked on requirements.

What were any major issues/challenges you ran into?

Not much at the moment, I feel that we still need to figure out exactly what technologies we will be including, who will be doing which parts, and what APIs to use.

What do you plan to work on for this coming iteration?

Figure out who does what and how we are implementing the projects at a higher level.

Offering new project ideas, functional requirements, as well as creating on-paper mockups (as well as in Figma)

What were any major issues/challenges you ran into?

Coming up with at least 2 ideas for the group; researching the feasibility of each idea.

What do you plan to work on for this coming iteration?

Help divide the work between the FE components, offer help in React, research more on APIs and how to incorporate them; Begin work on react components.
