If the measure numbers are in any way out of order (excluded from the count or added to), a lasso selection may mess up by assuming the measure is less than or greater than another measure.
Purely use geometry to decide the top left and bottom right rectangles selected in a lasso.
Use the same method of measure numbers that the status bar uses.
