Expert Labeling of Real RBCs Extracted Using Synthetic Data

Provide the expert with a simple user interface which can be used to label real RBCs, which were extracted using the neural network trained on synthetic RBCs, according to the observed phase of malaria infection.

• [x] Labels (i.e., phases of infection) should be defined
• [x] The expert should be checked on his labeling consistency (e.g. showing the same image twice and comparing the labels)
• [x] The results of the labeling should be saved and used to know where he left off, if the expert should decide to temporarily stop the labeling process.
• [x] Output should be a normal text file with some sort of separation

• Labels were defined as: labels = ["Normal uninfected", "Echinocytes", "Ring Stage", "Trophozoite", "Schizont", "Other"]
• To check the consistency of the expert, 5% of the images are shown twice. We then have two labels for the same image.
