GH pages for slides? #1

Hey Josiah, it would be great to be able to see your slides from yesterday directly with a link. I like to enable gh-pages on my repo & then post a link to the repo website description. Here's an example of what I did: https://github.com/isteves/r-pkg-intro

If you need more in-depth steps of how to do it, just let me know! But basically it's Settings --> enable gh-pages on master

Heyo! Definitely struggling with this. I think since I host my personal website on GH pages it's causing my some issues. I'm trying to figure out how to create a blogdown post as a slides. I've got this stack overflow questino for reference, but classic bare minimum description lol

Oh hmm. I don't host my website on gh-pages, so I'm not familiar with those problems. Did you already try enabling gh-pages for this repo? I tried josiahparry.github.io/userR-2018-07-17/presentation.html, which redirected to a 404 page on http://josiahparry.com/useR-2018-07-17/presentation.html. So either it didn't work or it isn't enabled.

As far as I understand from the SO link/bookdown chapter, it sounds like including these files in the /static/ folder would work, but I unfortunately don't really have a better method than guess-and-check. If you figure it out, it might be worth writing it up into a more detailed SO answer then! ;)
