Vaccine distribution and uptake, both globally and within the United states, present two of the greatest equity challenges of the present era.6–8 Within the United States, vaccine distribution has favored the socioeconomically advantaged,9 while warranted mistrust of the medical system has led to vaccine hesitancy among low income communities and communities of color.10–12 During a time period when vaccination is not yet pervasive, planners of in-person events must consider multiple strategies to keep their events safe."
Availability globally isn't the only issue; US-based considerations RE: equity from the perspectives of access as well as warranted mistrust in medical institutions should also be discussed, IMHO...
