Let's sharpen this up and flesh it out: (1) We say "examined", but to suit what end? (2) What constitutes a "large event" context? (3) Why is an agent-based model suitable for suiting our end? (It would also help to define what NPIs are considered right up front)

Changed "examined" to "modeled". Added sentences about agent based models, large events, and NPIs:

While more computationally expensive than compartmental models, agent based modeling is well suited for simulating the behavior and risks among groups of participants using different COVID-19 mitigation strategies at the same event. Large events, such as professional conferences, stadium sports, live music, and weddings are being planned for 2021, with varying COVID mitigation protocols. Non-pharmaceutical interventions (NPIs), such as masks, social distancing, and reduceding event capacity are being used inconsistently across the United States. States are loosening restrictions around in person events, however, to our knowledge, no previous study has modeled vaccination, testing, and NPI based strategies, in a large event context, using an agent based model.
