4 years ago I believe a B+ would be a good grade. I have all the required components for the website coded effectively. The design could be more creative but I want it to stay simple for sanity's sake.
What did you do well? Screens resize nicely. The design in not confusing. Great use of grids, colour. Planned it out thoroughly on paper before coding.
What did you do poorly? The design is simple but I want to avoid over complicating my code and creating usability issues. I wish my website looked more interesting and unique but I don't want to risk breaking it.
What could be improved? Images and videos of work need to be implemented to replace placeholder areas. Alt tags must be added to code for accessibility.
What problems did you run into?
Initially I had problems with the pattern library not updating with each change. Managed to fix it through troubleshooting and help from classmates.
Was not able to embed a video from my computer so I worked around the issue with embedded videos from the internet.
What complications did you overcome? Fixed a Github error with help from Thomas. Kept website updating properly with help from classmates. Video problems.
Does the website communicate the right message? Yes I believe it is artsy-farsty enough to represent my brand accurately.
Is the website usable? Not yet, it still has to be pieced together. The components are functional but need to be linked to correct pages, files, etc.
