I wanted to make this a PR as opposed to just merging it because there must be a reason that else condition this commit removed exists - its probably a holdover from when it spat out partial matches if no perfect match could be found but I'm not sure enough on that to just commit to master.
This has been tested and works, I'm just not sure if I'm missing anything.
