in the original game you can turn the player board so that the wall colors are not determined in the beginning. also, you could add a random pattern to the colors on the wall (of course only 1 color in each row and column) and all of this maybe when selecting the number of players.

This version has been relatively orphaned in favor of Azul-C-Sharp, so it's unlikely. Plus, I'd get network play working before variant play.
