More options for IO channel counts like CanDoMonoIO?

Hi,

AFAIK, CanDoMonoIO (Issue 9) allows to have a plug-in with mono input and mono 
output (or Stereo2Mono or Mono2Stereo, in which case it too permissive for some 
plug-ins).

What about having another switch called (for instance) CanDoMonoToStereo for 
mono input and stereo output?

What about allowing more I/O configurations like this?

Maybe a more standard naming layout for these configurations would even be 
better (following Audio Unit keywords?).

Thanks for your suggestion. Good idea. Yes, the CanDoMonoIO solution was the 
minimum required for monophonic AU's to show up at all in certain hosts (e.g. 
GarageBand). So that was the goal at the time, not maximum flexibility.

I think a good flexible I/O layout configuration (like you suggest) should be 
the way to implement this at some point in the future. (And not just adding 
more switches for separate cases.)

Hi. I have a stereo-in stereo-out effect. In VST I can use it also on mono 
tracks but not in AU. What do I have to set?
